April is shaping up to be an action-packed month on the PGA Tour, featuring some of the most anticipated tournaments of the season. From Texas to Georgia and the Dominican Republic, these events will bring top-tier competition to world-class courses.

Shawn Costello PGA is excited to spotlight these upcoming PGA events for April 2025:

Valero Texas Open

  • Dates: April 3-6
  • Location: TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course), San Antonio, TX
  • Previous Winner: Akshay Bhatia ($1,656,000)

The Valero Texas Open kicks off the month at the Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio. Known for its tight fairways and undulating greens, this tournament is a true test of precision. Defending champion Akshay Bhatia will look to retain his title against a competitive field. With the Masters just a week away, many players will use this event to fine-tune their game.

The Masters Tournament

  • Dates: April 10-13
  • Location: Augusta National Club, Augusta, GA
  • Previous Winner: Scottie Scheffler ($3,600,000)

One of the most prestigious tournaments, the Masters Tournament returns to Augusta National. The battle for the coveted green jacket always delivers unforgettable drama, and all eyes will be on Scottie Scheffler, who dominated in 2024. Augusta’s Amen Corner and lightning-fast greens will challenge even the best players in the world.

RBC Heritage (Signature Event)

  • Dates: April 17-20
  • Location: Harbour Town Links, Hilton Head Island, SC
  • Previous Winner: Scottie Scheffler ($3,600,000)

A week after the Masters, the PGA Tour heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage, a Signature Event with an elite field. Harbour Town’s tight fairways and small greens require accuracy over power, making this a favorite among shot-makers. Scheffler, fresh off his Masters defense, will aim to repeat his success at Harbour Town.

Corales Puntacana Championship

  • Dates: April 17-20
  • Location: Puntacana Resort & Club (Corales Course), Punta Cana, DOM
  • Previous Winner: Billy Horschel ($720,000)

Running alongside the RBC Heritage, the Corales Puntacana Championship provides a great opportunity for rising stars and international players. This coastal course features wide fairways but challenges players with ocean winds and deep bunkers. Expect plenty of birdies and a wide-open competition.

Zurich Classic of New Orleans

  • Dates: April 24-27
  • Location: TPC Louisiana, Avondale, LA
  • Previous Winners: Rory McIlroy & Shane Lowry ($1,286,050 each)

The month wraps up with the Zurich Classic, the PGA Tour’s only official team event. Last year’s champions, Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, will look to defend their title in this unique format. With alternate shot and best ball rounds, this event brings a different dynamic to the tour, making it a fan-favorite stop.
