COVID-19 has brought on some devastating ramifications and changes. Forced to adhere to new regulations, events all over the world have been postponed and otherwise cancelled for the remainder of the year. Now, in Australia, they’re even cancelling golf events scheduled for 2021.
The Vic Open, an Australian golf event that is part of the LPGA Tour and Men’s European Tour, has already been cancelled for 2021. The Victoria, New South Wales event will not go on, with safety in mind due to COVID-19. While golf fans like Shawn Costello are sad to hear the news, it’s anything but surprising. Of course, safety comes first in these difficult and uncertain times.
